I developed a comprehensive style guide for Blaze that defines and maintains brand consistency across all platforms and materials. This foundational document covers logo usage, typography, color application, imagery selection, and brand voice to create cohesive communication across digital and print touchpoints.
The guide centers on Blaze's vibrant, dynamic identity through strategic use of bold colors and contemporary typography that captures their energetic, forward-thinking nature. I created detailed specifications for logo placement, spacing requirements, and usage scenarios because those technical details are what keep a brand looking polished and professional. The guide also includes carefully curated imagery standards that authentically connect with Blaze's target audience, helping strengthen their community presence and market position.
I created this typographic portrait of David Bowie by building his likeness entirely out of text, blending words and image to capture his iconic presence.
The piece uses a mix of fonts and styles that reflect the eclectic nature of Bowie's career. Each typeface represents a different facet of his artistic evolution. The text forms the contours and details of his face, creating a visual rhythm that mirrors the energy and creativity he brought to his music.
The color palette is bold and high-contrast, reflecting Bowie's fearless approach to style and self-expression. I wove song lyrics and key phrases throughout the composition, so the typography functions as both a visual and narrative element. The words give depth and context to the portrait while reinforcing his cultural impact.
This project let me explore how typography and storytelling intersect in design. It challenged me to think about how text and image can work together to create something that's both visually compelling and meaningful. The result is a tribute that celebrates Bowie as both a musical legend and a cultural icon.
